Last Guild Build was very fun!  Thanks to everyone who participated with friendly holiday spirit!  We had a great crowd!

​DJScout's snowball game was a cool idea. I loved how the teams were picked randomly.  It was fun to use fishing poles to pull people into holes!  He is going to work out the bugs and we will try again.

​Happy Holidays East Coast Miners!

Our favorite elf, Techplex, has updated our server to 1.11! 

There are llamas! Aww...  Remember, No matter how cute...please don't spawn too many as they will cause lag.

You will have to change your Minecraft client when you log in. The directions are similar to the ones on our webpage but you will just change to 1.11 - so rolling forward so to speak.

This Friday night is our Guild Party!  There are lots of fun things to see and do.
Owl has made a very challenging parkour course that starts at /warp winter and involves a crashed sleigh.  The course takes you over to Ender's Candy Cane Castle, where there are more things to do and explore.

East Coast Miners Leadership Team

The East Coast Miners Community is a special group of cool kids who love creating and buildingin Minecraft! Each member agreed upon registration to treat each other with kindness, honesty and to be respectful. It is important that everyone holds true to this agreement when engaging with other members and the leadership team.


We hope that the East Coast Miners Community can be a positive and fun environment for everyone involved. For this reason we have developed the following policies to continue the growth of our unique community.

What is Griefing?
Griefing is the act of irritating and angering people through the use of destruction, construction, or other means of interfering with normal gameplay.

Examples of prohibited griefing:

• Put downs and negative comments
• Offensive language (swearing)
• Chat Spamming (typing large amounts of text to fill users screens)
• Interfering or preventing builds (unwanted "helping")
• Destroying others' builds
• Using fire to be destructive
• Lava or Water Flooding
• Unwanted use of potions on other players
• Spawning excessive unwanted mobs
• Purposefully annoying others (teleporting to them when asked not to)
• Repeated killing and ganging up on others in survival
• Anything else that is not respectful and kind

East Coast Miners has adopted a zero tolerance policy on griefing.
If you feel you are being griefed clearly tell the other player, in text chat, that you do not like what they are doing and to please stop. (The use of text chat allows the leadership team to be aware of what happened.)
For Example:   Mainecakes: K4Sons please stop throwing invisibility potions on me, if you continue that is griefing.
Hopefully, they will stop at this point. But if the problem continues, please report the incident to the East Coast Miners leadership by sending an email to [email protected].

Hacked Clients
Furthermore, the use of hacked, modified or cracked minecraft clients is not allowed.

What happens if a player breaks our charterPlayers will be warned
A member of the leadership team will issue a warning by kicking a player and indicating why they were kicked.
When the player rejoins the server we will help them remember how to follow our agreed rules.

Repeat offenders
Players who repeatedly break the rules will be temporarily banned and will not be able to login to the server for minimum of 2 guild build sessions.

Final Offense
​Players who continue to disregard the Community Charter will be removed from the whitelist.
Once a player has been removed from the whitelist, they have the option to go through a formal apology process in order to be reinstated.

It is the leadership teams hope that these clear expectations will continue to foster positive experiences within the East Coast Miners Community.

Everyone at the last Guild Build discussed the new Griefing Policy.  It was agreed that it was fair and should make our server a fun place.

​People have been busy building and playing on ECM Server.  
The18thdoctor made this cool redstone machine that opens doors to secret passages in his Mars Base.  Remember /warp mars if you want to visit.

I did not get everyone's pictures but I know BedfordSteve is making some sort of base, Bedrockcreeper has created a generator of some sort and Bubbles is working on something too.  What else have people been creating?
