The Virginia Society for Technology in Education met Monday, 10.7.2019 to tour the ECM server. Eleven miners were present, including 2 students who shared their builds.

"Cats" shared her World War II Concentration Camp build. She did this to share with her teacher. The subject matter and feeling of authenticity were emotional.

"18th" shared his many space rockets, created to scale. This is his passion and he includes many details in his discussion as well as in the creations.

"Jane" shared our meeting with her students in Taiwan. "Vance" and "Bobbi" participated from somewhere in Asia. I can't keep track!

This is a perfect example of using Minecraft for a school assignment. It would be great to have people thinking of ways you can use Minecraft for assignments. Maybe a book setting, math, science, or more scale models.

We have some people doing very cool stuff with Redstone. Here is an elevator Mattie made! Nice job Mattie!

Tabby found she needed more space at her home so she has moved away from safehouse and rebuilt. Luckily she is a short walk away! Nice job Tabby!

Dark has worked his "magic" again and now we can speak in the third person by typing /me in front of what you want to say.

It was a fun time on East Coast Miners at Guild Build! Always nice to see our awesome Miners!

We started in Creative World admiring and exploring Enders cool build! Nice work Ender!

And then we moved to Creative World for some fun and games!
First stop Hide and Seek in Bedford's Haunted Mansion. /warp haunted
Then we had a few rounds of "Do Not Laugh" ECM style! Link won with the most points. Thanks to everyone who played!
Also Thanks to Dark and Bedrock for building the very awesome new stage - complete with music!
Lastly, we visited Links Pizza Land (from back when he was known as Pizza) Even the banners have pictures of pizza...yum!

A big shout and and thank you to Cats who joined K4's teacher group for a tour of ECM...Everyone loved all the cool stuff we have! Thanks to everyone who builds and shares with us!

GB was so much fun last week! We explored and played in the snow! Saw polar bears, rabbits, and llamas (yes, even babies)
We found igloos and treasures!

And then we started on a great adventure with Dark! We found lots of cool places along the way, such as the flower forest, the arches, a swamp and witch hut. ****Thanks to Tabby for taking these great pictures and sending them to me! ****

The adventure lead us to the Ice Spikes you see here...We all thought they were cool but Dark wanted more...So he continued the exploring adventure...over many hills and vales.

Until we found these!

Oh WOW!

If you want to participate this clue is still up at Safehouse. Good luck and have fun!

And here we are starting the Riddle. First challenge was trying to figure out how to get into Dark's Secret Space. Then we had to answer the clues which gave us coordinates to follow in the nether...eek
Once we found the final place to make a portal it brought us back to a Mushroom Biome! Here Dark had a prize for everyone! It was so much fun Dark! Thanks so much!

Last weeks GB was as fun as always with some serious mining and remodeling!

There is a huge and endless cave, mineshaft, and ravine at /warp bigcave3
Be sure to check it out - I am sure there a lots of resources left to mine.

Congratulations to Cats for completing another achievement! You are amazing!

Last weeks Guild Build turned into quite a boating adventure! Tabby, Cats, Mainecakes, Bedrock, Bedford and more...all explored the ocean. We found beautiful islands and another mesa.

Speaking of Adventure..
Dark has something cool planned for next Guild Build!
He has built a giant bedrock encased structure in Survival...which he will leave closed and sealed until Friday, when he will unseal it and take the operator's seat.
No spoilers... but you will want to bring your best riddle solving skills.
PS - If you notice the strange structure before Friday, please leave it be, all his clues and things are hidden inside, prepared for distribution. :~)

Guild Build was so much fun last week!

Cats and Bedrock have been busy saving and collecting villagers . Meet King Kermit (not Kermet) . ~~Quite Impressive!

Also Bedrock has made a giant piano! You can see the redstone at work in 2nd picture.
Can't wait to hear it!

We start Guild Build on East Coast Miners and then take a field trip. Cats has invited us to go on her 1.13 pre-release server and check out all the new cool things.
